Where does library move leave Western NDG?
Dear Editor,
I read with interest Martin Barry's article titled: 'Fraser-Hickson ponders move to Vendôme Ave. neighbourhood' - The Chronicle April 1, 2008.

If the born-again Fraser Hickson is going to be situated so far away, that will still leave western NDG without an adequate library. There are so many elderly and/or handicapped people in our area, so many little children, poor people and immigrants - all the most disadvantaged people in our community - who desperately need a good library that is accessible in all kinds of weather.

The Board of Governors of the late and lamented Fraser Hickson has its own agenda. The mayor of the borough that includes NDG has his own agenda. The City of Montreal has a responsibility to these people which it clearly chooses not to honour in the foreseeable future.

Doesn't anyone care what is happening to the residents of NDG?
