FOOD ISSUES THE TOPIC AT NEXT NDG 2020 MEETING
NDG — Are you concerned about the availability of healthy and affordable food in NDG? Do you want to know more about the different food services available to you? Then join the NDG Coalition for Food Security and the NDG Community Council on Wednesday, Oct.18, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the St. Raymond’s Centre, 5600 Upper Lachine Rd.

Among the topics that will be discussed are: The Good Food Box, the Collective Gardens Network, the Lunch Box Workshops. Those in attendance will also learn about the new project, La Cuisine de NDG (community kitchen and restaurant), a new initiative to bring healthy affordable meals to everyone. Join fellow NDG

residents who want to voice their

concerns and help bring food security to their neighborhood.

As usual, the first part of the meeting will begin with the Community Exchange, where participants will have the opportunity to learn about the work of local groups in NDG.

There will be also a special presentation on: ‘October is breast cancer awareness month — what does that really mean?’ and ‘Street safety in NDG; and the traffic issue concerning the MUHC’.

Food, refreshments and child-care will be available to all who attend (pre-registration needed for child-care).
